Aliens in the Prime of Their Lives by Brad Watson - In this collection of short stories, Brad Watson relates the brutality of human experience with unique genius and tenderness. Each story tells about another form of domestic discord. In the title novella, a freshly married and disastrously mismatched young couple are visited by an unusual couple from a nearby insane asylum. This unusual couple just might be, or may as well be, aliens from another planet.
With wry humor and otherworldly grace, Brad Watson reminds us how alien we humans are to each other and ourselves.
